Sidney has spent more than two decades in real estate finance. A founding partner of Capital West Mortgage Inc. and Pacifica Mortgage Investment Corporation, he specializes in first and second privately funded mortgages.

Earlier in his career, Sidney was an Account Manager in Commercial Lending at a large national trust company. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia, and outside the firm he is active in his community and involved in numerous charitable causes.

Shannon is a founding partner and Director of Capital West Mortgage Inc. and a Managing Director of Pacifica Mortgage Investment Corporation. With more than 30 years in real estate finance, she specializes in residential alternative lending and portfolio management.

Shannon co-founded Capital West in 2001 and has helped build it into one of British Columbia’s leading integrated real estate finance firms. As President of the Lending Division, she oversees more than $500 million in assets and leads Pacifica Mortgage Investment Corporation and its syndicated mortgage operations. She became a director of Pacifica in 2004 and a Managing Director in 2010.

She is also Chief Executive Officer and Ultimate Designated Person of Capital West Mortgage Investment Services (CWMIS), an exempt market dealer registered with the British Columbia Securities Commission. In that role, Shannon provides firm-wide oversight and is responsible for the regulatory compliance of the firm and of the individuals acting on its behalf.

Shannon takes an active role in shaping her industry. She serves on the boards of the BC MIC Managers Association (BCMMA) and the Canadian Alternative Mortgage Lenders Association (CAMLA), where she also co-chairs the Western Canadian Committee. In that capacity she works alongside regulators and industry stakeholders to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape for mortgage investment corporations and mortgage brokers in British Columbia and across Canada.

In 2026, marking Capital West’s 25th anniversary, Shannon established the Capital West Women in Business Scholarship, a $5,000 annual award for BC women pursuing a career in finance.

Daymon has worked in real estate finance since 1991. A founding partner of Capital West Mortgage Inc., he specializes in commercial mortgage brokerage, joint ventures, equity syndications, and the origination of large private loans.

Over the course of his career, Daymon has arranged in excess of $5 billion in construction financing for multi-family, residential, and commercial developments, along with term loans across all property types. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the Mortgage Brokers Association of British Columbia, the Mortgage Investment Association of B.C., and the Urban Development Institute.

Jerry has been a director since Pacifica Mortgage Investment Corporation’s inception in 1994 and brings over 30 years of experience in residential mortgage brokerage and private mortgage lending. He served on the Advisory Committee of Edelweiss Credit Union from 1993 to 1995 and was a Vice President of the Polish Credit Union from 1986 to 1993. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. He is a businessman who invests in real estate and manages his own real estate holdings.

Steve joined the board in March 2015 and has worked in financial services since the 1970s with several financial institutions. He is a licensed mortgage broker with Capital West Mortgage (Canning) Inc., a company he wholly owns.

Before joining the Manager, Steve spent 23 years at BlueShore Financial in roles across branch management, broker services and business development. From 2005 to 2014 he served as Assistant Vice President, Business Development, where he was responsible for BlueShore Financial’s non-traditional residential loan portfolio. Steve specializes in real estate loans and mortgages and has built an excellent reputation within the mortgage community.

Alan has served as a director since Pacifica Mortgage Investment Corporation’s inception in 1994. A member of Owen Bird Law Corporation, he is a real estate lawyer with more than 40 years of experience and practises in mortgage security perfection and realization work. Alan graduated from the University of Victoria Law School and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1983 and the Yukon Bar in 1992.

John has been a director since 1998 and brings over 35 years of experience in the mortgage industry. He has held management positions at several Canadian trust companies as well as a national bank, building substantial expertise in the underwriting and administration of residential and commercial properties, including realization workouts and project development financing. After 15 years of service, John retired from Peoples Trust Company in December 2017 as Assistant Vice President, Mortgage Administration.

Bill has served as a director since 2011. In July 2017, after 12 years with the organization, he retired as Chief Financial Officer of BlueShore Financial, where he led the finance, treasury and administration operations along with the group businesses covering commercial lending, credit, broker services, BlueShore Capital Corp. and leasing.

Before BlueShore Financial, Bill was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Northstar Trade Finance. Earlier in his career he was a Corporate Finance Partner at the investment banking firm Goepel Shields & Partners Inc., Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Finance at Surrey Metro Savings Credit Union (the predecessor of Coast Capital Savings), and held a number of senior management positions with a large publicly listed multinational mining and industrial group based in South Africa.

Bill obtained his Fellow of Chartered Accountants (FCA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, his Master of Business Administration from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, and his Canadian Securities Course with Honours from the Canadian Securities Institute. He also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. In 2012 he was named British Columbia Chief Financial Officer of the Year by Business in Vancouver. Bill is a past director of corporate boards and currently serves on the board of directors of a number of non-profit organizations.

Chris’s role sits within Capital West Mortgage Inc. and Pacifica Mortgage Investment Corporation, where he sources and underwrites residential mortgages. He has spent almost a decade in the mortgage business focused exclusively on alternative lending, underwriting close to $320 million over that time.

Chris completed the Mortgage Brokerage in British Columbia course through UBC and is a licensed sub-mortgage broker. Outside the office, he can usually be found training for his next triathlon or spending time with friends and family.

Adam joined Capital West Mortgage Inc. in October 2021, after completing his Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia. He has been passionate about the real estate industry his entire life, and in his role as Mortgage Underwriter he is responsible for sourcing and underwriting mortgages.

Outside of the office, Adam can be found playing and watching hockey, enjoying time with friends and family, and struggling to keep the golf ball on the fairway.

Ruby joined the Capital West Mortgage Inc. team in 2022 as Office Manager and moved into her current role as Mortgage Administrator in late 2024. She manages the administration of Pacifica’s mortgage loans, overseeing a high volume of renewals and discharges each month, and provides administrative support to the mortgage management team on both residential and commercial files.

Ruby is currently working toward her mortgage broker licence, further expanding her expertise in the industry.

Cassius is a member of Capital West Mortgage Inc.’s Business Development team, where he focuses on sourcing new business opportunities and cultivating existing broker relationships. He joined the firm from a sales role at a Bay Area technology company, and brings a passion for real estate and an appetite for new challenges.

As a student, Cassius served as a Portfolio Manager for his university’s alternative asset fund, managing a portion of the school’s endowment, and hosted a keynote series featuring interviews with leading investment firms. He holds a BA and an MBA from Queen’s University.

Natalia joined Capital West Mortgage Inc. in February 2017 and is responsible for the administration of investments for Pacifica Mortgage Investment Corporation. She processes all investor-related transactions, including new investments, redemptions, distributions, account changes, and transfers, with the goal of giving investors an exceptional experience through efficient, accurate account management. She also supports the mortgage administration team with Pacifica’s mortgage documentation.

Natalia holds a Master of Arts in Business and Management from the University of Glasgow (UK) and has a background in accounting and office management.

Neha joined Capital West Mortgage Inc. in November 2023, bringing diverse expertise across investment services. She is primarily responsible for administering self-directed registered accounts, processing transfers, opening new accounts, managing existing ones, and handling withdrawals and contributions, while providing support to clients and to her colleagues on the Investment Services team.

Neha has extensive experience executing and refining financial operations, with a focus on account transactions, compliance, client communication, and registered accounts. Committed to improving processes and upholding regulatory standards, she consistently strives for excellence in her work. She holds a master’s degree in administration.

Swarleen joined Capital West Mortgage Inc. in January 2025 and plays a key part in the day-to-day administration of Pacifica Mortgage Investment Corporation. She manages investor transactions, including share purchases, redemptions, and account maintenance, executing them accurately and efficiently while adhering to regulatory policies and risk management standards.

Swarleen brings an extensive background in investment operations and financial services, where she managed large-scale account transfers, refined administrative processes to improve operational efficiency, and played a key role in regulatory reporting and documentation management.

She is dedicated to delivering an exceptional client experience, giving investors and stakeholders knowledgeable guidance and responsive administrative support. A strong relationship builder with a keen analytical mindset, Swarleen identifies process improvements and drives efficiencies, and actively follows industry best practices to enhance the services she oversees.

Adriano joined Capital West Mortgage Inc. in April 2024. He is responsible for implementing the firm’s compliance program, including the development of written compliance policies and procedures used to risk-assess money laundering and terrorist financing offences. Alongside his compliance role, he is assisting the Investment Services Division with the implementation of new capital markets software.

Adriano holds a Bachelor of Arts from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad Catolica. Before joining the firm, he worked in compliance roles across banking, investment management, and corporate property tax.
